How do I sign up for alerts?
1. Sign up for alerts on the 'Current Issue' page using the 'Sign up' buttons and selecting your alert of choice. Different types of alerts are available.
The buttons are also in the coloured main article information area on each article.
2. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to create one by completing the short form shown below (this is separate from the newsletter sign-up form).
Alternatively, click 'Create account' in the header area, which brings up the same form.
If you already have an account, follow the prompt and click 'Sign in', which brings up the details box below.
3. Once you are signed in to your account, you should see the 'Welcome message' above the header, with your name. Any alerts that you have signed up for already will have the bell symbol and confirmation that they are 'ON'; alerts that you are not signed up for will have a line through the bell and 'OFF'. An example of each is shown in the image below.
Click on 'My stuff' to modify or delete alerts, see your saved searches and any purchased articles, and manage your data.
4. To set up alerts for other Bioscientifica journals, go to the 'Journals' tab, select the journal of your choice, and then follow the steps above.
What notifications do I get when I sign up?
You will receive an email when a new issue is opened, listing the articles currently in the issue.
As more articles are added, you will receive further emails with a list of any new articles, until the issue is complete.
Latest article alerts
You will receive an email when new articles are published in the journal, either as 'Accepted manuscripts' (the author's final manuscript, but before typesetting and copyediting), or as final 'Version of Record' articles, assigned to an issue.
This is intended to keep you as up to date as possible with all articles that the journal publishes.
Accepted manuscript alerts
You will receive an email when new articles are published as 'Accepted manuscripts'. This is the author's final manuscript, before typesetting and copyediting, and there may be amendments during the final steps of publication of the final 'Version of Record'.
This alert is intended to let you know the very latest topics due to be published by Microbiota and Host. We would encourage you to check back to the issue for the final 'Version of Record' of articles that interest you, in case of any updates.
Other alerts including Citation alerts, which update you when an article is cited online, can be set up on the individual article.
You are able to unsubscribe from any alerts you no longer want, at any time, in your personal account. There is a link in the footer of every alert to do this.
